Dear neighbors,
The news has already started to spread about our big, new initiative focused on bringing life sciences companies to our existing commercial spaces. We have picked the tagline - Montgomery: Where Opportunity Meets Innovation.
Our foundation for this initiative is you - our residents. When you look at reports and data about our municipality, you can see how many intelligent and highly-skilled residents live in Montgomery. We are among the highest-density of scientists, engineers, statisticians, medical providers and more who contribute to groundbreaking innovation. Montgomery lies within Einstein’s Alley, and we have been part of the effort to acknowledge the high-tech accomplishments of corporations in our township.
Throughout our existing vacant commercial spaces, there are countless opportunities for organizations of all sizes and stages to call Montgomery “home”. From startups that need just a few thousand square feet of space to Fortune 500 companies, we have spaces that are ready for occupancy. Plus, we currently house cutting edge companies, like Healios Labs, LifeSign, NovaFlux and more, who are excitedly awaiting the opportunity to partner with others in the neighborhood.
Located between New York City and Philadelphia, with Princeton University next door and Rutgers University a short drive away, we are in one of the most desirable locations. There are countless resources already here for every organization to use and enjoy.
Most importantly, we have assets that every family desires. Our school district is among the best in New Jersey and the nation. The new stores at Montgomery Promenade are making progress, with Whole Foods and a variety of restaurants among the new tenants. Our township committee has collaborated with state and county leaders to make transportation enhancements, with a focus on pedestrian and bike safety. Businesses can move here confidently and know that staff will look forward to relocating to a vibrant community full of restaurants, services, and recreation activities. Others have noticed our success and we have recently been ranked a best place to live in the nation by Niche.com, earned Healthy Town to Watch designation and have had the Tree City USA designation for decades.
Montgomery truly is where opportunity meets innovation. We have recently hired a business advocate in our planning department who is prepared to work with prospective life sciences companies, connecting them to resources and guiding them through the stages of opening in our community.
I cannot wait to see who will join us in the coming years, and I know that our new neighbors will bring even greater value to Montgomery.
